GROZNY, May 21 (Itar-Tass) — The law enforcement agencies thwarted the plans of extremists to destabilize the situation in the North Caucasus before Victory Day, acting Interior Minister Rashid Nurgaliyev said at an urgent meeting here on Monday.
“Thanks to highly qualified actions of the police, the interior troops terrorist acts and heinous crimes were averted during the May holidays. Although we are aware how many bandit conspiracies were foiled during the period of time,” he said.
