MOSCOW, May 21 (Itar-Tass) — Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has phoned Zinatula Bilyaletdinov, chief coach of the Russian ice hockey team, congratulating him on the team's triumph. The team outperformed Slovakia, 6-2, in the final match of the World Championship in Helsinki on Sunday night.
A government press service official said Medvedev pointed out that the Russian ice hockey players had won a well-deserved victory. He also emphasized that the team members had demonstrated the highest standard of play throughout the tournament. He asked the chief coach to convey his congratulations, words of gratitude, as well as wishes of new successes to the players.
