LONDON, May 21 (Itar-Tass) —A session of the Presidium of the World Council of News Agencies is due to be held here on Monday at the head office of the British Press Association news agency, with the executives of the world's leading mass communication media participating. The Russian side at the session will be represented by Mikhail Gusman, First Deputy Director-General of Itar-Tass.
Participants in the session are to discuss a host of matrers concerning coordination of the activities of the leading suppliers of information to print and electronic media. Special attention is to be devoted to preparations for two significant events: the 2nd World Media Summit, which is to be held in Moscow from July 4 to 7, this year, and a World Congress of News Agencies, which is slated to take place in Saudi Arabia next year.
