CAMP DAVID /US/, May 20 (Itar-Tass) —— The presence of Russia’s Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev at the current summit of G8 in Camp David near Washington is a symbol of succession in Moscow’s foreign policy. This is what Medvedev told reporters following the summit on Sunday.
Medvedev said that his coming to the summit is a symbol of succession in Russia’s foreign policy as well as in the “re-launch” of the Russian-American cooperation.
This means also “that Vladimir Putin and I share views on foreign policy,” Medvedev said.
He mentioned that he had passed to Obama an address from Putin, though did not reveal the contents of the document.
Medvedev spoke about his contacts with Obama during the summit describing them as a “full-fledged discussion” in a “friendly manner.”
The discussion covered also what had been done in the Russian-American relations, he explained.
