Russia not to reduce share of euro in its gold and currency reserves

WASHINGTON, May 19 (Itar-Tass) —— Russia will not reduce the share of the euro in its gold and currency reserves, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said at the G8 summit in Camp David on Saturday, May 19.

“As for specific issues concerning Europe, the chairman of the government said we are not going to reduce the share of the euro in our reserves, lest we send wrong signals on the situation in Europe,” Russia’s Sherpa in the Group of Eight, Stanislav Voskresensky, said.
