MOSCOW, May 19 (Itar-Tass) — President Vladimir Putin signed the Decree on “Streamlining the use of devices on making special light and sound signals, installed on motor vehicles”, reported the Kremlin press service on Saturday.
The decree approves the list of state bodies whose motor vehicles have such devices. The list contains 569 cars.
The Kremlin press service emphasized that Putin consistently continues solution of questions, raised during his election campaign.
The decree on “rotating beacons” radically changes the situation with special signals. “It was established earlier that special signals might be installed on 1,000 cars. In compliance with the present decree, the number of such cars was dwindled down by 400,” the press service noted.
“In actual fact, 67 cars remain for officials; they can be fitted out with special signals, plus 83 motor vehicles will be in the possession of regional governors who can use such motor vehicles only in their subjects of the Russian Federation. All others are set aside for power departments.
Besides, the decree forbids allotting motor vehicles with special signals for office holders.
“The limitation, introduced by the present decree, does not cover people who are under state guard,” the press service specified.
The Kremlin explained that the decree would enter into force on July 1, since the government is to take an appropriate decision prior to this.
