MOSCOW, May 18 (Itar-Tass) —— President Vladimir Putin has called for the active engagement of research centers and universities in priority projects in aviation, metallurgy, medicine and other strategic areas.
He also suggested technological alliances with the world leading producers. The president referred to the Russian-French production of navigation systems, assembling of Italian helicopters, joint production of medical equipment with General Electric and broader cooperation with Boeing as cooperation examples.
“Russia needs to create a full production cycle, from engineering centers to serial products. A high degree of localization means the access to technologies and modern jobs,” he said.
