MOSCOW, May 18 (Itar-Tass) — Situation in Syria remains knotty and terrorists are trying to trigger the government forces' reaction with their activity, Alexander Lukashevich, an official spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry said Friday.
"There's evidence of a growing terrorist activity, which is seen in blatant attacks on and elimination of officers of the Armed Forces and other supporters of the /Bashar al-Assad/ regime," he said. "One of these days, an attempt was made to organize a terrorist act against international observers."
"This testifies to the willingness of certain quarters to provoke the authorities towards taking reciprocal actions and to disrupt the Kofi Annan plan and to unwind a spiral of violence," Lukashevich said.
