Man injured in fire at artillery arms depot in Primorye

MOSCOW, May 18 (Itar-Tass) — The fire broke out at an artillery arms depot of the Russian Defence Ministry in the Primorsky Territory, the evacuation from two settlements continues.

The fire broke out at 10:20 Moscow time on Friday at a depot of 100-mm artillery shells seven kilometres away from the settlement Sumgachi, a source in the territorial emergency situation department told Itar-Tass by phone on Friday.

“According to preliminary reports, no casualties sustained, one person was injured and hospitalized,” the source said.

Some 700 people were evacuated for safety from two settlements Dukhovskoye and Sumgachi.
