VLADIKAVKAZ, May 17 (Itar-Tass) —— The Supreme Court of North Ossetia sentenced to 24 years in prison a mastermind of a terrorist act at the Vladikavkaz central marketplace Ali Daurbekov. He will serve six years in prison and the rest of the term in a tough security penitentiary.
In 2008 the Ingush resident joined the Magas gang, which was rampaging in the Nazran region in Ingushetia and was a member of the criminal community Vilayat Galgaiche. With other bandits subordinate to him, fulfilling the orders of North Caucasian warlords Doku Umarov, Issa Khashagulgov and Dzhemaleil Mutaliyev, Daurbekov has made an explosive device, which was detonated at the entrance to the marketplace in September 2010. The bomb, which was planted in a Volga car, was detonated by a suicide bomber Magomed Malsagov at the gates to the marketplace. He arrived in Vladikavkaz from Ingushetia together with Daurbekov and other gunmen.
The terrorist act killed 19 people and wounded 233 people. The material damages exceeded 21 million roubles.
The Supreme Court of North Ossetia earlier sentenced to long terms in prison Islam Khashagulgov and Magomed Latyrov. They were also members of the gang Vilayat Galgaiche and committed several heinous crimes.
