PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, May 16 (Itar-Tass) —— A criminal case has been opened over the death of an 18-months-old boy in the village Esso in Kamchatka. The boy died because medical aid came late, the Kamchatka territorial department of the Russian Investigation Committee said on Wednesday.
The boy felt unwell on May 14; he had a fever in the evening and the parents called a doctor. The doctor gave the boy a fever reducing injection and left. The condition continued to deteriorate and the family called for an ambulance. The ambulance did not come; a doctor consulted the parents by phone. Six hours later the boy died.
