Boeing airliner makes emergency landing in Novosibirsk

The plane was carrying 162 people,including 155 passengers and seven crewmembers

KRASNOYARSK, May 14 (Itar-Tass) — A Boeing-738-800 airliner made an emergency landing at Tolmachyovo airport of Novosibirsk on Monday morning. Noone was hurt, a source at the Siberian regional center (SRC) of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies has told Itar-Tass.

"The airliner of the Globus air company was on a Moscow-Yakutsk flight. The plane was carrying 162 people,including 155 passengers and seven crewmembers. "A signal about malfunctioning of Propulsion Plant 2 alerted the crew during the flight. The crew commander decided to make landing. The airliner landed safely at 03:53," the SRC source pointed out.

Three hours later the passengers of the Boeing airliner were able to proceed on their way aboard a reserve plane, airbus A-320 of the S7 air company.
