MOSCOW, May 12 (Itar-Tass) —— The Moscow Region’s former governor, Boris Gromov, has taken a seat in the Federation Council. His successor, Sergei Shoigu, signed a resolution to this effect on Saturday.

“Boris Gromov shall be appointed the representative of the Moscow Region’s government in the Federation Council,” runs the document published on the website of the Moscow Region’s government.

The resolution is effective immediately.
