MOSCOW, May 12 (Itar-Tass) —— Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev instructed to fulfil his ordinance to pay one-time allowances to the veterans on the occasion of Victory Day timely and without any breaks.
“I signed a relevant resolution of the government, and it is possible to begin working,” he said at a meeting devoted to the fulfilment of the presidential instructions on Saturday.
“It should be fulfilled immediately to provide financing, including the expenses for the delivery, of one-time allowances on the occasion of the 67th anniversary of the Great Victory,” Medvedev said. According to him, the allowances will be 1,000 roubles and 5,000 roubles. “All categories of people included in the document should receive them without any delays,” the premier noted.
On May 7, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the first decree as the president on one-time allowances to some categories of Russian citizens on the occasion of the 67th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945).
After the meeting acting Minister of Health and Social Development Tatiana Golikova reported that the allowances will be paid to 3.7 million people. “Nine billion roubles are envisaged for these purposes,” she said. “Additional resources from the budget are not needed for these purposes,” the minister added, noting that these resources will be partially envisaged in the budget and will be partially allocated from the remaining resources of the Pension Fund.
