MOSCOW, May 12 (Itar-Tass) —— Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has instructed Acting First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov to carry out general coordination of the work to implement presidential instructions.
“These are no easy tasks, and multi-faceted ones, too. They require unflagging attention,” he said. “I would like Igor Shuvalov to be responsible for the general coordination of the work on these instructions.”
At Saturday’s conference, the prime minister said economic policy matters were going to be discussed.
“By December 1 it is necessary to draft and approve of the government’s guidelines extending up to 2018 and a forecast for the country’s social and economic development till 2030,” Medvedev stated.
He said that as early as this year the Cabinet of Minister should cope with a number of tasks to improve budget and tax policies, create comfortable conditions for business activity and draft proposals for the accelerated development of regions.
Also, he said, the government was faced with major tasks to develop the labor market, improve the system of health care, education and science.
“This concerns information disclosure and other projects,” the prime minster said, adding that all work on the issue that had been conducted within the Open Government should be blended into the Cabinet’s routine activities.
Also, “it is necessary to perfect the mechanism of forming public councils,” Medvedev believes. He explained that some critically-minded people should take seats on these public councils.
