About 300 people remain in Moscow opposition camp at night

The number of "strolling" opposition activists at Chistoprudny Boulevard decreased considerably before the metro closed

MOSCOW, May 12 (Itar-Tass) —— The number of "strolling" opposition activists at Chistoprudny Boulevard in Moscow decreased considerably before the metro closed for the night.

A few hours ago, about 2,000 people were at the opposition camp near the Kazakh poet Abai Kunanbayev monument, and at present there are about 300 people.

The behavior of the people has not changed. Some of them have already prepared to rest and sleep. They talk with each other, discussing the country's public political life, sing songs with guitar music, eat, photograph themselves and share experiences in social networks.

Nothing changed either in the policemen's actions. However, they numbered more by midnight. Policemen and OMON members watch what is happening. They are on duty at the entrance to the boulevard and along the public walk, while no policemen are seen at the end, where the "Occupy Abai" camp is situated.

None of the known opposition leaders is at Chistye Prudy (Ponds) at present.

Meanwhile, a blog of the opposition camp has appeared in the Twitter.

The so-called "strolls" began on the night to May 8. During the day, opposition activists moved from one boulevard to another, as OMON policemen stopped all their actions. Hundreds of people were detained, but most of them were released then.
