Opposition to hold photo show/contest, concert on Moscow’s Chistoprudny

More than 300 protesters are staying on Chistoprudny Boulevard

MOSCOW, May 11 (Itar-Tass) —— The opposition will hold a photo show and contest and a concert on Moscow’s Chistoprudny Boulevard, Solidarity’s Ilya Yashin told Itar-Tass.

“We will organize a photo show dedicated to the May 6 March of Millions and a concert. Young musicians will perform. They will not be using microphones,” he said.

Left Front press secretary Anastasia Udaltsova initiated the photo contest.

More than 300 protesters are staying on Chistoprudny Boulevard, where the opposition camps near the Abai Kunanbayev Monument.

Meanwhile, activists of the unregistered party Other Russia are holding a picket, Russia without Putin, near the Griboyedov Monument, on the other side of the boulevard.

A dozen and a half people are carrying a sign with this slogan and party flags. The police told Itar-Tass that the picket had been permitted by the Moscow central administrative district administration. The organizers said they applied for the picket permit long before the beginning of the opposition ‘walkabout’ on Chistoprudny Boulevard.
