Teenager boiled to death in open sewer manhole in Sverdlovsk region

Investigators are establishing those responsible for the utilities in residential area.

YEKATERINBURG, May 11 (Itar-Tass) —— A criminal case has been opened in the town of Kamensk-Uralsky, Sverdlovsk region, where a teenager was boiled to death having fallen into an open sewer manhole, a spokesman for the regional administration of the Russian Investigation Committee told Itar-Tass on Friday.

“On May 9, running away from a dog, the boy fell down into a sewage well filled with hot water. As a result, the boy received thermal burns of about 90 percent of the body. A criminal case was initiated on charges of a death through negligence of professional duties,” the spokesman said.

According to the spokesman, investigators are making forensic studies and establishing those responsible for the utilities in residential area.
