Medvedev to offer proposals for new govt on May 15

In next few days Medvedev will end consultations with candidates for members of the government

MOSCOW, May 11 (Itar-Tass) —— Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev is expected to make proposals to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the structure of a new government and the candidatures for members of the government, the Russian governmental press service told Itar-Tass on Friday.

According to the law on government the prime minister makes proposals to the president for the makeup of a new government within a week after the inauguration. “So, the proposals will be made to the president within seven days as the legislation requires this,” the press service reported.

In next few days Medvedev will end consultations with candidates for members of the government according to a future structure of the Cabinet.

Vladimir Putin also intends to have consultations with the candidates for the posts in the government after they are introduced to the president.
