MOSCOW, May 10 (Itar-Tass) – Indonesian Kartika Airlines has suspended the purchase of 30 Sukhoi Superjet -100 planes until the causes of the recent crash are established, the Jakarta Post reports.

Representatives of the RT Trimarge Rekatalma Company, an agent for selling Superjet planes, confirmed the information.

Kartlika Airlines haven’t sent any official notifications to the Sukhoi Civil Aircraft, the producer and designer of the Sukhoi Superjet-100, of its intention to suspend the contract as of yet.

Kartlika Airlines and the Sukhoi Civil Aircraft struck a contract for the purchase of 30 Sukhoi Superjet-100 planes at the air show in Farnborough in July 2010. The deal cost 951 million dollars at that time. Deliveries were supposed to take place in 2012-2015.

A Sukhoi Superjet-100 airliner (board number 97004) disappeared from radar screens during a demonstration flight in Jakarta on Wednesday. The plane wreckage was found on Thursday. There were 45 people onboard.
