MOSCOW, May 10 (Itar-Tass) — People were found dead at the crash site of a Russian Superjet airliner in Indonesia, a source in the anti-crisis headquarters, which works at the Jakarta airport, told Itar-Tass on Thursday.
More detailed reports are expected in the near future, the source said.
Meanwhile, a blogger Sergei Dolya, who was participating in a roadshow “Welcome to Asia” of the Russian medium-haul airliner and is following the search operation in Jakarta, said, “The vanguard group of rescuers reached by foot the air crash site on the Salak Mountain. They are picking up the remains of victims.”
According to various estimates, the Superjet airliner was carrying from 44 to 50 people.
