MAKHACHKALA, May 10 (Itar-Tass) — A policeman has died and another injured as a result of a shooting attack in Dagestan’s town of Izberbash, a representative of the Russian Investigation Committee for Dagestan told Itar-Tass on Wednesday, May 9.
The injured policeman has been hospitalized, the representative said, adding that the incident “occurred near the central square of the town at 10.50 p.m.”.
According to the Dagestani representative, “unknown people opened machinegun fire at policemen.”
At present, an investigation group operates on the spot. Measures are being taken to identify and detain attackers.
