MOSCOW, May 9 (Itar-Tass) — The crew of the Sukhoi Superjet-100 plane which went missing in Indonesia on Wednesday didn’t report any breakdowns before the aircraft disappeared from radar screens, a source at the Sukhoi Civil Aircraft, the Superjet’s designer, told Itar-Tass.
He said the plane had been piloted by a very experienced crew, comprising Captain Alexander Yablontsev and second pilot Alexander Kochetkov.
“Alexander Yablontsev has flown more than 10,000 flight hours in his career. He headed the crew who piloted the first flight model of the SSJ100 plane,” the Sukhoi Civil Aircraft’s representative said.
