About forty migrants detained in central Moscow

At the moment, the situation downtown Moscow is calm

MOSCOW, May 9 (Itar-Tass) — Moscow police have detained about 40 migrants who don’t have official registration during Victory Day celebrations on Manezhnaya Square in the heart of Moscow.

“Police and the Federal Migration Service detained about 40 foreigners, citizens of the CIS countries, whose papers were not in order. Most of them didn’t have official registration,” Moscow law enforcers told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.

At the moment, the situation downtown Moscow is calm. The only way to get to the Manezhnya Square and the Alexander Garden is through a metal detector.
