MOSCOW, May 9 (Itar-Tass) — Russia is conducting a persistent policy of global security strengthening, President Vladimir Putin said Wednesday as he addressed participants and guests of a traditional Victory Day parade on Red Square.
“Russia has a great right to press forward with its positions consistently,” Putin said. “It was this country that determined the course of events of the war and brought liberation to peoples across the world.”
“Today’s young generations of Russians are the successors to the winners of World War II, the genuine soldiers of freedom,” he said.
