A Just Russia leader threatens to expel Mitrofanov for supporting Medvedev

Mironov said in the morning that the faction would be unanimous in its rejection of the candidate

MOSCOW, May 8 (Itar-Tass) —— A Just Russia leader Sergei Mironov has threatened to expel Alexei Mitrofanov from the party for his support to candidate for prime minister Dmitry Medvedev.

“He will be expelled,” Mironov said.

Five deputies of the faction of A Just Russia – Dzhamaladin Gasanov, Leonid Levin, Nikolai Lakutin, Igor Zotov and Alexei Mitrofanov - voted for Medvedev. But only Mitrofanov is a member of A Just Russia.

Mironov said in the morning that the faction would be unanimous in its rejection of the candidate. “We will either have a unanimous vote or you should not come at all,” he told faction members. Mironov also promised to take ‘very serious measures’ as regards the deputies who would not listen to his recommendation.
