Putin instructs govt to create structures for controlling defence procurement

The Kremlin press service circulated the text of the decree on Monday

MOSCOW, May 7 (Itar-Tass) — President Vladimir Putin has instructed the Russian government to present proposals this year to create structures, which will gain control over defence procurement.

These proposals should be related to “creating executive bodies to be subordinate to the Russian government and exercising functions for ordering and gaining control over defence procurement”, the decree says.

The Kremlin press service circulated the text of the decree on Monday.
