MOSCOW, May 5 (Itar-Tass) —— The Moscow city authorities will invite the Anti-Jam Centre to control over the repair of the city roads, City Deputy Mayor for Communal Utilities Pyotr Biryukov said during Saturday’s meeting with road management organisations.

During the meeting, he put forth the new rules for the acceptance of the newly-repaired roads. In his words, the process of control will be held in three stages – at the city’s service of customer, at the ExpertAvtoDor laboratory, and the final stage – at the Anti-Jam Centre as an independent structure.

In other words, from now on the new rules set up a thrice control over the city’s road repair operations, Biryukov said. If one of the aforesaid organisations finds defects at a newly repaired road, the contractor company should carry out the repair operations on the street along its full length.

“All streets, which were repaired in the current year, and were defects were or will be found out, must be re-paved with asphalt before May 20,” the deputy mayor said.

Upon the results of last year, 99 city roads were found defected after the asphalt paving operations, Biryukov reaffirmed. In his words, the asphalt cover at such roads should be fully re-paved in May from the funds of the contractor company, which committed defects in its work.

“Besides, the contractor companies, which carried out their works at the above-mentioned roads, will not be permitted to the repair activities in 2012 before they correct mistakes,” the Moscow deputy mayor said.

“If those companies do not meet the deadlines, prefect’s offices will break all contracts with them. Then, the relevant road sections will be put on tenders,” Biryukov said.
