MOSCOW, May 5 (Itar-Tass) — About 14,000 policemen, servicemen and voluntary guards will guard law and order on Moscow streets during the mass actions scheduled for Sunday, the press service of Moscow City’s Department of the Interior said.

Sunday, a number of opposition parties and movements are going to hold a street march and a rally. The action is titled ‘The March of Millions’.

Another major rally will be held by the All-Russia People’s Front.

“To ensure law and order, as well as citizens’ security on the whole, about 14,000 policemen, servicemen of Interior Troops, and voluntary guards will be placed on the streets,” a spokesman for the Interior Department said.

“We’re asking the people to be vigilant,” he said. “If you notice suspicious individuals in the crowd or items of luggage left behind in the areas of mass public actions, you are welcome to report immediately to the nearest police patrol.”

“Moscow police are always ready to react promptly to changes in the operative situation,” the spokesman said. “We cannot rule out possible unlawful actions on the part of some individuals who are going to join the public actions.”

“That’s why we’re asking everyone to stay away from succumbing to provocations on the part of separate people who may try to use other people as instruments for achieving their disgraceful goals,” he said.
