A double terrorist act was committed near a traffic police post in Makhachkala

MAKHACHKALA, May 5 (Itar-Tass) — A counterterrorism operation regime was introduced in Makhachkala’s Kirovsky district in Russia’s North Caucasus republic of Dagestan that was hit by twin explosions on May 3, Dagestan’s crisis centre told Itar-Tass on Saturday.

A double terrorist act was committed near a traffic police post in Makhachkala. The two bombs, with the yield of 50 and 100 kilograms TNT, were stuffed with balls and nails. According to the latest estimates, 13 people were killed and another 88 were wounded in the explosions.

The terror act was committed by brother and sister Rizvan and Muslimat Aliyevs, Dagestan President Magomedsalam Magomedov told an emergency meeting of the government.
