MOSCOW, May 5 (Itar-Tass) — Russia’s central election commission will report on presidential election campaign spending to the lower and upper houses of parliament in the middle of May, CEC chief Vladimir Churov told Itar-Tass on Saturday.
During the campaign the central election commission saved around 1 billion roubles from the budget.
“This is a significant sum,” he said.
“There were no needless costs,” said Churov, who is known for his adherence to austerity measures.
