Court turns down to classify trial vs former chief military doctor

The merit court proceedings are scheduled on May 15

MOSCOW, May 5 (Itar-Tass) —— The Moscow District Military Court had open hearings into the criminal case versus the former chief of the main military medical department of the Russian Defence Ministry Alexander Belevitin and his deputy Alexei Nikitin, who are accused of taking a big bribe in the purchase of tomography scanners.

Thus, the request of the defence was turned down, as the latter asked the court to hold the trial behind closed doors.

The merit court proceedings are scheduled on May 15.
