REUTOV /Moscow region/, May 4 (Itar-Tass) — Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said Russia will not allow any country of the world to create a missile defence system which could upset the strategic balance.

"Missile defence is an illusion, no matter how much money is invested in it, precisely because we'll never allow them to create such a system and upset the strategic balance," Rogozin said during his visit to the NPO Mashinostroyeniye military-industrial corporation.

"Nobody will be able to create missile defence which would give the feeling of impunity to any individual country, he said, adding that "the NPO Mashinostroyeniye research is unique and that the state and the Russian government would be supporting it."

Aside from the development of aerospace, it is necessary to find new forms, and new methods of transportation within a huge country. "I believe the experience we have is unique. We must move on, develop new models in civil aircraft-making and civil aerospace," Rogozin said addressing company employees.

NPO Mashinostroyeniya is a leading Russian developer of armaments for strategic missile troops, the Navy, and air and space defence troops. It also develops a complete range of missile and aerospace equipment.
