MOSCOW, May 4 (Itar-Tass) — The US Embassy to Russia has strongly condemned the terrorist attacks in Makhachkala, it said in a statement posted on the Twitter.
“We condemn in the strongest terms the heinous terrorist attack-bombings that took place in Dagestan last night resulting in significant casualties of both civilians and law enforcement personnel,” the embassy stated. “There can be no justification for such a callous disregard for human life,” the statement says.
According to preliminary information, 13 people were killed and more than 120 wounded in explosions of automobiles at a stationary traffic police post in Makhachkala. A total of 83 wounded in condition of varying severity were rushed to hospitals and another 26 people got outpatient treatment.
