NIZHNY NOVGOROD, May 4 (Itar-Tass) — Five people, including two children, died in a fire in the village of Kalmash (Bashkiria) late on Thursday, spokesman for the Volga River regional centre of the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations Oleg Zugeyev told Tass.
The spokesman said the fire broke out at about 21:45 Moscow time (23:45 local time) at a private wooden house. The firemen arriving to the site put out the fire quickly. When they were clearing the debris they found the bodies of two men, a woman, a six-year-old girl and a three-year-old boy. Investigators work at the site looking into the reason behind the fire.
