MOSCOW, May 3 (Itar-Tass) – A total of two explosions went off Thursday night at a road police post at entrance to Makhachkala, the capital of the North Caucasian region of Dagestan.
Data on possible victims of the accident was being clarified at the time of reporting.
“According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred in the city’s Kirov district,” a source at the Investigations Committee of Dagestan said.
The spot of the explosion has been sealed off and a team of operatives and investigators are examining the site.
Early reports said the first explosion went off at 22:00 hours and second one, some 30 minutes later.
