MOSCOW, May 3 (Itar-Tass) — Authors of the Magnitsky draft law use his tragedy for dirty political purposes, Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said on Thursday.
“The position on the entry ban to the United States by some Russians on the Magnitsky case run counter relations with Russia and the assumption of innocence,” the diplomat said.
“The authors of the Magnitsky ‘draft law’, which is now being discussed in the U.S., use the lawyer’s tragedy for dirty political purposes,” Lukashevich stressed.
