Water supplies in Tver cut because of water mains leakage

The accident took place at about 22:20 Moscow time on Wednesday. According to the spokeswoman

TVER, May 3 (Itar-Tass) —— Most of the city of Tver in central European Russia has been left without water supplies because of an accident at the city’s water mains, a spokeswoman for the provider of water supplies services, Tver Vodokanal, told Itar-Tass late on Wednesday.

The accident took place at about 22:20 Moscow time on Wednesday. According to the spokeswoman, repair teams are unable to trace the leakage. “Pressure in pipes dropped and water is not pumped to houses,” she said.

This is the second water supplies failure in Tver in the past week. The first major accident took place on April 28, when a larger part of the city was cut off water supplies, which were resumed only late on April 29.
