Extraction tax for Gazprom to be Rub 1062 per 1000 cbm in 2015

2/5 Tass 252MOSCOW, May 2 (Itar-Tass) — The mineral extraction tax for Russia's natural gas monopoly Gazprom will grow to 1,062 roubles per 1,000 cubic metres by 2015, and for independent producers the tax rate will be 1,049 roubles. RF Deputy Finance Minister Sergei Shatalov said after a government meeting that this decision has been approved within the farmework of the tax policy guidelines. He specified that the “mineral extraction tax for Gazprom in the first half of 2013 will amount to 582 roubles, in the second half - 670 roubles, in the first half of 2014 - 717 roubles, in the second half of the year - 859 roubles, at the beginning of 2015 - 886 roubles and in the second half of the year - 1,062 roubles.”

For independent producers, Shatalov continued, the mineral extraction tax rate will also be growing every six months and will amount to 265 roubles, 445 roubles, 456 roubles, 726 roubles, 726 roubles and 1,049 roubles, respectively. “Thus, the ratio of the tax rates in late 2015 for Gazprom and independent producers will be 0.987,” he concluded. Thus, Shatalov said, the “government has supported the Finance Ministry regarding the rates’ indexation.”
