Air temperatures fall steeply in Moscow region

In Moscow City, the averaged air temperature stood at around 5 degrees at around 04:00 hours

MOSCOW, May 1 (Itar-Tass) — Air temperatures fell steeply in the Moscow region early morning Tuesday versus Monday night.

At 01:00 Moscow Standard Time, 0 degrees Celsius was registered in the township of Cherusti in the east of the region. Cherusti is widely unofficially viewed as the cold pole of the region, as it is located in the lowland and surrounded by fast-freezing marshes.

In Moscow City, the averaged air temperature stood at around 5 degrees at around 04:00 hours.

The temperature in the area of the city’s main gateway, the Domodedovo airport, was about 2 degrees.

In the meantime, this was still much better than suggested by many other weather forecasts for the week, which promised cold spells on the earth of down to minus 2 degrees.

Tuesday in Moscow City and region will mostly be cloudy with small clearings and the air temperatures of up to 15 degrees.
