Water supply in Tver restored fully

Cold and hot tap water supply to the majority of residents in the 400,000-strong Tver was cut at about 3:00 p.m

TVER, April 29 (Itar-Tass) —— Cold tap water supply in Tver was restored fully at 8:30 p.m. Moscow time on Sunday. All the three water mains are functioning, Tver Vodokanal water mains operator Yelena Shcherbakova told Itar-Tass.

Cold and hot tap water supply to the majority of residents in the 400,000-strong Tver was cut at about 3:00 p.m. Moscow time on Saturday due to an accident in the Tver water mains. People had to buy drinking water at food stores and lined to drinking water vending machines (a liter of water costs three rubles). The regional emergency situations department began to supply water to maternity homes and socially significant sites.

The same water mains had an accident in fall 2011.
