Moscow-Beijing dialog – model of good relations between two big countries

“Russia and China have the common interest,” Li said

MOSCOW, April 28 (Itar-Tass) —— The dialog between Moscow and Beijing is a model for the establishing brilliant relations between two great countries, Executive Vice-Premier of the Chinese State Council Li Keqiang said during Saturday’s meeting with students and professors of the Moscow State University.

“Our cooperation is of strategic nature. The dialog between Moscow and Beijing is a model for the establishing relations by two big countries. The format of BRICS [Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa] is getting a special potential of development,” he said.

“We are two countries, which are responsible for the future of the whole world, are making weighty decisions,” Li said, adding, “The world passes through the global changes. The economic revival is very complicated process. We face new threats and challenges.”

“In the epoch of globalisation, the international community turned into a large ‘village’,” he said, adding, “Not a single state may rule in the international arena.”

He is confident that each country has the right to change its own path for the development that will meet the key interests of the people.

“Russia and China have the common interest,” Li said, adding, “We back creation of the equitable and balanced peace. This is our strategic mission.”

The Chinese vice-premier especially pointed to the colossal changes occurred in Russia lately. “You fulfil the economic modernisation through the use of innovations,” he said. “Russia’s development meets interests of China, as well as the peace and stability [in the world in general].”

“It is of huge importance that Moscow and Beijing firmly back the implementation of the UN Charter and the international law,” Li stressed.

He also reaffirmed about the upcoming celebration of the Victory over Fascism on May 9. “We are thankful to Russia for the liberation of China,” he concluded.
