MOSCOW, April 28 (Itar-Tass) —— President Dmitry Medvedev on Saturday, April 28, accepted the resignation of Yaroslavl Region Governor Sergei Vakhrukov.
The president appointed Sergei Yastrebov acting governor of the Yaroslavl region.
Medvedev also dismissed Perm Territory Governor Oleg Chirkunov at his own request.
He will be replaced by Viktor Basargin, who worked as minister for regional development until this appointment, the presidential press service said.
