SAMARA, April 28 (Itar-Tass) —— One of two people, who was injured in the emergency landing of a sporting airplane in Samara overnight to Saturday, died, a source in the regional emergency medicine centre reported.
The pilot is staying in extremely severe condition with sweeping burns of 90% of body skin at the intensive therapy ward, the source said.
The sporting airplane Elitar-202 has made a tough landing at the Samara airport Smyshlyaevka during a training flight on Thursday. The airplane caught fire, the pilot and the passenger were hospitalized in extremely severe condition with heavy burns.
The criminal case was opened for violation of the safety rules of the air traffic and the steering of aircraft.
