Russian Progress to dump space waste into Pacific

Progress cargo spacecraft carrying over a ton of waste from the International Space Station will splash down in the Pacific Ocean on Saturday

MOSCOW, April 28 (Itar-Tass) —— The Russian Progress cargo spacecraft carrying over a ton of waste from the International Space Station will splash down in the Pacific Ocean on Saturday.

The Russian Mission Control Center said most of the spacecraft will burn down in the dense layers of the atmosphere however the remaining debris will splash down at approximately 18:45 hours Moscow time in a specifically designated “burial site” far from shipping routes.
