SAMARA, April 28 (Itar-Tass) —— The Belarussian striker of the Wings of Soviets Football Club from Samara Sergei Kornilenko denied claims he failed to pass a doping test.
Local media reported Kornilenko may be disqualified after the doping test exposed pseudoephedrine. The Russian anti-doping agency so far offered no comment.
Kornilenko said on Friday he was treated for cold and doctors reported all the medicines he took.
“People are writing stupid things and pure nonsense. The doctors reported all medicines which I took for cold. Therefore, there should be no problems,” he said.
