MP representing regions party becomes Pres of Ukrainian National Bank

The board of governors of the National Bank is led by professional financier Sergei Arbuzov

KIEV, April 26 (Itar-Tass) — Member of Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada representing the Regions Party, Igor Prasolov, has been appointed President of country’s National Bank.

As an MP, Prasolov has occupied the post of chairman of the subcommittee for securities and stock markets.

Prasolov’s past occupational record includes several years in the capacity of Director General of the company System Capital Management, which is fully owned by the top-rated Ukrainian businessman, Rinat Akhmetov.

The previous President of the National Bank, Pyotr Poroshenko, was appointed Minister of Economic Development and Trade March 23.
