YEREVAN, April 25 (Itar-Tass) — A total of 160 observers are expected to arrive from the CIS countries in Armenia for monitoring the parliamentary election scheduled for May 6, a spokesman for the headquarters of the CIS monitoring mission told Itar-Tass Wednesday.

The staffing of the mission is drawing to a close, he said.

Documents have been filed with Armenia’s Central Electoral Commission to accredit the 160 observers representing Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine.

The CIS mission will also include representatives of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Russia-Belarus Union State, and the CIS Executive Committee.
