KIEV, April 24 (Itar-Tass) — Ukraine’s former Prime Minister Yulia Timoshenko, who serves her prison term for abuse of office in the Kachanovskaya penal colony, announced a hunger strike, her lawyer Sergei Vlasenko told reporters on Tuesday.
“I saw bruises on her stomach area and hands,” he said.
Timoshenko’s hunger strike “demonstrates her protest against what is going on in the country and personally with her.”
