Tajikistan wants to keep Russian military base

According to Lavrov, a draft agreement to prolong the rent is still being discussed, talks will be continued

DUSHANBE, April 24 (Itar-Tass) — Tajikistan wants to keep Russia’s military base 201 on its territory, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Tuesday.

“Today, Tajikistan’s leaders have reiterated that the country is interested in keeping this base,” he said. “A draft agreement to prolong the rent is still being discussed, talks will be continued.”
